Kim and Stuart’s Washington D.C. LDS Temple post was so full of gorgeousness that I knew their reception would need its own space on my blog.    Temple Wedding Fact:  There are 155+ operating temples for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints throughout the world.  Some regions have many within a short distance, while other areas require members to travel long distances to attend.  The state of Virginia does not have a temple, so when members of the church are looking to get married (or sealed as they call it)  they travel to The Washington D.C Temple in Kensington, MD.  It is 3.5-4 hour drive from Virginia Beach depending on traffic.  Once it even took me 8 hours to get home because I-95 was a parking lot–yikes!  Oftentimes couples choose to have their reception on a separate day, to alleviate stress that comes from travel.  Kim and Stuart chose to have their wedding on a Wednesday and their reception at the beautiful Cypress Point Country Club on a Friday evening.  Pretty neat huh?  It may seem abnormal to the regular wedding standard, but I think it is so great!  I mean, what bride wouldn’t want to wear their dress twice?  Kim even got to have a 2nd bouquet by Fluttering Flowers which was to die for!    I was in detail heaven with their stunning blush and sage colored decor.  Check out some of the highlights from their amazing reception!   (All Star Vendor List at the Bottom of this post)
