A Cavalier Hotel Summer Engagement Session never disappoints! Everything is green, flowers are blooming and the sun is usually shining. While it was a tad bit overcast this day, it sure did make the colors pop and gave us an epic sunset up in the bell tower (don’t miss that at the bottom of the post). Don’t be afraid of clouds on a session day, it actually makes it nice. You can go anywhere without having harsh lighting, trust me! I love a good sunny glow more than anyone, but I say embrace it and see the beauty it in!
J + T met up with Gibby Visuals and I to photograph their engagement session on the Cavalier Hotel grounds. We love being preferred wedding vendors at the Cavalier Resort because our couples get exclusive access to the historic grounds. We arranged to do J + T’s engagement session while they were in town for additional wedding meetings. Many of our couples are from out of state, planning a destination wedding here in Virginia Beach, and we love sharing in the excitement with them.
J + T started out the session in a casual and adorable coordinated lavender colored clothing. Afterwards, they opted for a dressier outfit to finish the session up. I always encourage two outfits for variety and two different looks! They are perfect for wedding websites and save the dates!
