This Romantic Cavalier Engagement Session was so much fun! When Cody and Taylor showed up dressed to the nines I was so excited! A tuxedo, stunning red dress and Christian Louboutin heels? Let’s gooooo! Cue “Lady in Red” by Chris de Burgh please! It was the perfect match always elegant and timeless Cavalier Hotel!
From the Great Lawn Loggia, the indoor pool plunge and the Sunken Garden–we used it all! Every backdrop perfectly complimented their fashion. I wish I could share all of the images with you–I took hundreds, but obviously can only share a few.
The white doors of the Great Lawn Loggia are perfect for framing a couple for portraits!
I love this view from the Sunken Garden steps! It really shows off the hotel!
And you absolutely have to get an epic shot on the Great Lawn with the iconic landscaped bushes that spell out the Cavalier name. It truly was the most romantic Cavalier Hotel engagement session. So much that the Cavalier Resort wedding team shared it over on their instagram for Valentine’s Day!
Next, we drove over to First Landing State Park to capture some more cozy and romantic portraits! They opted for cream sweaters, jeans and boots! Having a casual outfit allows for a variety of poses that you can’t necessarily do in a formal dress! I always suggest a dressier and casual outfit for this very reason!
I’m still obsessing over this gorgeous pear-shaped diamond engagement ring!
Finally, we finished the evening with an unbelievable sunset! I always bring my off-camera lighting in case this happens! You just can’t capture it’s beauty without it!
I tag teamed this engagement session with my favorite guy 😉 Justin (Gibby Visuals) and I offer engagement sessions including both photography and videography in some of our packages 🙂 Check out the video he did for them at the same time I was taking photos.
