A Coastal Engagement Shoot at the Historic Cavalier Hotel

Another session at the Historic Cavalier Hotel? Yes, please! This iconic landmark provides a stunning backdrop for engagement photos. It served as the perfect canvas for a beautiful couple, Elise and Tucker. Their wedding will be coastal inspired and they chose outfits that reflected that. Having an engagement session is the perfect way for you to get to know your photographer. Elise and Tucker were absolutely hilarious! We laughed the whole time as we explored the hotel’s charming grounds, filled with beautiful landscaping, grand architecture, and sweeping views of the coastline.

The Sunken Garden

On wedding days the Sunken Garden is filled with guest filled chairs. On an engagement session, we can use the space for fun creative portraits.

We ventured up to the bell tower, where the world felt a little more small. The panoramic views of the ocean and Virginia Beach coastline are unmatched. Elise and Tucker patiently endured the wind as we captured some fun moments.

Fur Babies are Always Welcome!

We finished the evening at the North End of Virginia Beach where we met up with their adorable pup, Lincoln. He was nervous and full of excitement. The wind picked up, sending waves crashing on the shore as we captured them playing together. Their love for each other—and their furry friend—filled every frame, making the evening one we will always remember.

As the session wrapped up, we had the best time chatting about their upcoming wedding and getting to know each other better. They will be getting married at the beautiful Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel and partying the night away at a tented reception at the Cavalier Beach Club next door!
