Golden Hour at the North End of Virginia Beach

We met at the North End of Virginia Beach just as the sun began its slow descent. The light there is magic. Soft. Warm. Golden. The sea oats sway gently in the breeze. The sand dunes create the most stunning natural backdrop.

She wore a flowing cream lace gown that caught every bit of that golden light. He was calm, cool, and collected — dressed in crisp white and linen. And their little boy? He absolutely stole the show in his white button-down and khakis.

Together, they were PERFECT!

The Sweetest Big Brother

From the moment we started shooting, their son was full of energy and pure joy. He kissed mama’s belly. He climbed on dad’s shoulders. He laughed so hard it was contagious.

Those candid moments — dad tossing him in the air, the two of them cheek to cheek — are the ones that make Virginia Beach family photography so meaningful. Real. Unscripted. Full of love.

A Moment That Changed Everything

During the shoot, dad pulled me aside. He had a ring. He had a plan. And he was ready.

While mama was getting her solo maternity portraits taken among the dunes, he got down on one knee right there on the sand.

She turned around. She saw him. And she said yes.

Tears. Laughter. The most beautiful embrace. All of it captured in the golden light of a Virginia Beach sunset.
