This rainy downtown Norfolk engagement session was so much fun! Usually, at the threat of bad weather, clients immediately want to cancel. Not Stephanie and Omar! They were game for whatever Mother Nature had to offer us! The great thing about this? Downtown Norfolk was practically a ghost town! We started in a covered tunnel (because……RAIN) and then made our way over the Waterside District.
I first met Stephanie & Omar at a destination wedding in The Bahamas! They are great friends of one of our previous couples!
Stephanie and Omar LOVE their city! When the opportunity came to take pictures in front of this mural, we just had to! I love this mural, but I wish it were in a better spot! It’s usually packed with cars. We lucked out!
After walking around the Waterside District, we headed over to the beautiful Pagoda Gardens!
I love the weeping willow trees at the Pagoda Gardens! They are so beautiful!
The architecture of the Pagoda is so unique! It made for a beautiful backdrop!
Rainy Day Tip: Invest in a clear umbrella! Although rain is not ideal, a clear umbrella adds a cute touch while protecting you from the elements! I bring them to every rainy engagement session and wedding day!
The architecture and beautiful grounds of the Pagoda were so much fun to explore! Stephanie and Omar had me laughing the entire time! They are the best!
This rainy downtown Norfolk engagement session shows that no matter the weather, you can still have fun and showcase your love!
I am looking forward to their wedding that will be held at the amazing Hermitage Museum and Gardens! There will be an amazing team of vendors helping with the day including coordination by The Happy Hour Hostess! I’ll also have my husband, Justin, there filming!
