This beautiful family is a former wedding client of Gibby Visuals. With a growing family, they reached about having a maternity session at the Delta Bayfront Hotel in Virginia Beach. If you haven’t been to this resort, you should definitely check it out. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the oceanfront but still offers luxury! They had planned a mini family vacation before the new baby arrived. This private resort beach was the perfect location to grab some shots for their pregnancy announcement. Although it was cloudy this day, the calm water and green sand dunes make for the perfect back drop. Not to mention, their outfits were perfectly complimentary to the beach setting.

There is no love like a love for your child. I love to see strong and loving families. It just makes my heart smile.

Playful & Fun Images are a Must!

After I get safe images, I always love to take playful ones during the session. Many people don’t know this, but I was a former teacher. It’s always fun to use my skills to play with children during the session to get the most natural smiles. I will run around, make animal noises and crawl in the sand if I have to! It’s all worth it to see a beautiful smile like this!

This orange dress was stunning on this mama to be! The jewelry…the hair….effortless! What a beauty!

There is just something beautiful about a black and white image. I usually convert pictures to black and white if they convey a powerful emotion. I’ve always leaned more towards color images, but sometimes an images has to be black and white, too!

Finally, at the very end of the session we got a tiny peek at the sunset as the sky turned a slight cotton candy color 🙂 It was the perfect ending to a special session. Congrats on the new baby! Thank you for letting me document these sweet moments!
