Julianna and Kurt’s Virginia Beach engagement session….where do I even start? Aren’t they such a stunning couple? They have been dating since she was 16 years old! How cute is that? When I got their inquiry, she told me that I had photographed her brother’s wedding and I got so excited! See her brother’s past engagement session because I never got around to blogging their Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront wedding (where Julianna was a bridesmaid!).

First Stop: The Thoroughgood House

Whenever I do engagement sessions, I encourage couples to bring two outfits. One of the dressier side and another more casual. I loved their choice of outfits! First up was their dressy choice at The Thoroughgood House. With their height difference, Julianna’s nude heels were the perfect choice!

In the off season I’m trying to play catch up on tasks that fall by the wayside and blogging is one of them. I love how it is a beautiful way to show off images in a curated way. Blog posts can be helpful, so I’m hoping to be a resource to others as well!

Next Stop: Brock Environmental Center

We started the second half of the session at the beautiful Brock Environmental Center. The couple swapped out their dressier clothes for a more casual look. Her white eyelet dress was gorgeous!

I don’t get phased when photographing couples with a large difference in height. We did a variety of poses to really add diversity and connection to their portraits!

We were treated with a beautiful cotton candy colored sky and RAINBOW!!
