I know this is old news, but I am just getting around to talking about it because I didn’t know how to process it! It was announced in February of 2017 that the Washington DC Temple would be closing for 2 years for extensive renovations. I was shocked. I was sad. From a small dream to photograph just one temple wedding–I discovered how much I loved them and have now photographed 25 temple weddings!
I had built up something that I loved and then it was taken away. With the sadness I felt about the DC Temple closing, I quickly snapped myself out of it and remembered that God has always had a plan for me (even when I thought my way was best). I knew He would take my path in the direction that would magnify my purpose. He has never led me astray.
I believe in dreams. BIG DREAMS. I also believe that by putting those dreams out into the universe, they can come true! So my BIG DREAM is …..drumroll…….to become
I want to travel. I want to document weddings at any temple that I can. The list is now up to 159 operating, 11 under construction and 19 announced! Last year, I released my Temple Photography Bucket List and I’m happy to say that my bucket list has now becoming a reality! I have had inquiries from Arizona, Boston, etc and I’m excited to announce that I have booked my first wedding at the Philadelphia, PA Temple!
Also, in April they announced that a temple would be built in RICHMOND, VA!!!!!! Watch the video (at the 0:56 marker) below to see! I was crying with joy and screaming! I can’t wait!
I’m ready to make this dream a reality! If you know anyone getting married in a LDS temple, send them my way! Help me make this “International LDS Temple Photographer” a reality!
