August weddings at the Washington DC Temple are usually scorching hot!  For that reason, I met up with Tona and Doug for an hour before they needed to be at the temple for their sealing.  That way it was cooler and the light was better.  We were blessed with mid 70’s and a beautiful overcast sky (unheard of in August. Score!)  When there are clouds at the temple, the spires really “pop” and it creates the dreamiest diffused light!
I first met Tona and Doug at their Alexandria engagement session.  I knew after that meeting that their wedding would be elegant and relaxed.  They had so many friends and family supporting them at the temple.  My favorite part of the day is when Tona’s mother and sister kept gushing over how happy she looked.  And I know I’ve said it before, but isn’t her hair amazing? And that Maggie Sottero dress?  TO DIE FOR!  Doug’s tailored suit complimented her so well and I’m so thankful I was able to document their love story.
