Julianna and Kurt’s Virginia Beach engagement session….where do I even start? Aren’t they such a stunning couple? They have been dating since she was 16 years old! How cute is that? When I got their inquiry, she told me that I had photographed her brother’s wedding and I got so excited! See her brother’s past […]

I have been photographing families in the Virginia Beach area for over a decade now! It’s always such a joy when clients return year after year! I have photographed this perfect family since their oldest was a newborn and I am beyond grateful when they choose me again–every.single.time I’m grateful!
A First Landing Engagement Session is always fun! I met Charlie & Christina after being introduced to them by my dear friend Holly (a former incredible wedding coordinator who is coming out of retirement just for their big day!) We clicked instantly and after planning their engagement session we knew First Landing was the perfect […]
The Brock Environmental Center is the perfect spot for family photos! There is tons of space and golden light to capture memories in. You’d never know, but around me were about 50 other photographers-ha! The wide-open space allows plenty of room for everyone! This sweet family had perfectly coordinated outfits. I love the pop of […]
A Pleasure House Point Photography Session is perfect in so many ways! This location is the perfect backdrop for photo sessions. The neutral colors and natural elements make outfits pop! This sweet family has been with me for several years! I love seeing them from year to year. They always have the best outfits with the perfect […]
Engagement sessions are my absolute favorite! I have such a blast getting to know my couples during this time. It’s a chance to get comfortable with each other and gives us the opportunity to talk about the wedding day.
Every season at the Washington DC Temple brings new surprises! Andy and Julie’s “Black Friday” wedding, in November, boasted rich colored leaves that made for some pretty amazing photos!
They met at James Madison University at a fraternity/sorority mixer. Kaitlin and John were introduced through mutual friends. They were inseparable the whole night! The following day they went up to the mountains together and the rest was history! They dated a few more years throughout college. John graduated from JMU a year earlier than Kaitlin. He began his career in another city while she finished school. Long distance means they would alternate visiting each other every weekend. Their four hour roundtrip drives and accompanying visits made their relationship that much stronger!
I first met Diana and Rylan at her BROTHER’S WEDDING in August of 2017. Diana’s mother had an unfortunate fall during the beginning of family pictures and had to be rushed off to the hospital to get stitches on the bridge of her nose. We were all traumatized in the moment but after everything it formed a friendship that I am grateful for.
Heidi and Patrick were sealed in the Washington DC Temple on the most beautiful sunny day! I couldn’t believe how blue the sky was and how the perfectly placed clouds made it look like it was painted! The temple grounds were filled with exotic flowers and it was the perfect backdrop for such a sweet couple.
Isn’t this family beautiful!? They are a blended family of 8! They were so much fun to work with and I loved their Carolina blue, navy and white color palette!
I had the best time with Joyce Anne and Mike at their First Landing State Park Engagement Session! I love engagement sessions because I get to know the couple and talk all about how they fell in love and what they like to do together.
You won’t want to miss hilarious moments and find out how Mike intercepted an arranged greek marriage. hahah!
Daniel met Jessica, at their church’s singles ward, six long years ago. She was successfully finishing up the last two years of her dental hygiene degree in Richmond. She caught many of the single guys’ attention, including Daniel, for many reasons. In the words of Daniel, “She was committed to her faith, kind to everyone, fiercely loyal to her friends and family, and absolutely gorgeous!”
Now that Martha and Joey are married, I can share her gorgeous Byrd Park Fall bridal session! (Be sure to check out their Gaie Lea Wedding HERE). Choosing a few images for this post was extremely difficult because she looked so stunning! I may or may not have delivered 300 final images. Yowza!
There I was….photographing a wedding at the Washington DC Temple and waiting for the couple to exit….
The sweetest blonde girl came up to me and told me she was engaged and asked for a business card. We had a great time chatting and she went on to tell me that she was my previous bride’s roommate!
