As a Virginia Beach family photographer, I’m constantly inspired by families who nail their photo session styling. This gorgeous family’s coordinated look is absolutely perfect for summer family photos, and I had to share why their outfit choices worked so beautifully. The Perfect Summer Color Palette This family chose a stunning combination of whites and […]

There’s something magical about returning to a place where your love story began. This November, The D Family traveled back to the North End Virginia Beach for their family session, choosing the same coastal location where I captured their engagement photos years ago. What started as a couple in love has now blossomed into a […]

A Virginia Beach Engagement Session at Two Iconic Locations When K + R reached out about their engagement session, I was happy to hear they wanted to incorporate the stunning Cavalier Hotel—the very place where they’ll say “I do!” There’s something incredibly special about capturing engagement photos at your wedding venue. It creates a beautiful […]

A Coastal Dream Wedding at the Marriott Oceanfront Virginia Beach When Elise and Tucker envisioned their perfect wedding day, they knew exactly what they wanted: a coastal celebration that captured their love for the ocean and the timeless elegance of Virginia Beach. This November wedding at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel was everything they […]

A Perfect Temple Wedding Day Molly and Tommy’s DC Temple summer wedding was nothing short of magical. After their stunning Eastern Shore LDS first look session at Bay Creek Country Club just one week prior, the couple was ready to make their eternal commitment official at the beautiful Washington DC Temple. The Beauty of LDS […]

Engagement sessions are my absolute favorite! I have such a blast getting to know my couples during this time. It’s a chance to get comfortable with each other and gives us the opportunity to talk about the wedding day.

They met at James Madison University at a fraternity/sorority mixer. Kaitlin and John were introduced through mutual friends. They were inseparable the whole night! The following day they went up to the mountains together and the rest was history! They dated a few more years throughout college. John graduated from JMU a year earlier than Kaitlin. He began his career in another city while she finished school. Long distance means they would alternate visiting each other every weekend. Their four hour roundtrip drives and accompanying visits made their relationship that much stronger!

I first met Diana and Rylan at her BROTHER’S WEDDING in August of 2017. Diana’s mother had an unfortunate fall during the beginning of family pictures and had to be rushed off to the hospital to get stitches on the bridge of her nose. We were all traumatized in the moment but after everything it formed a friendship that I am grateful for.

There I was….photographing a wedding at the Washington DC Temple and waiting for the couple to exit….
The sweetest blonde girl came up to me and told me she was engaged and asked for a business card. We had a great time chatting and she went on to tell me that she was my previous bride’s roommate!

SO. MUCH. FUN! That is how I would describe my time with Kaitlin and John at their Virginia Beach Oceanfront engagement session. We laughed hysterically the entire time! Couples like this fill my heart with so much joy! What I loved even more, was having the opportunity to work alongside my husband, Justin, of Gibby Visuals. We love working together and feel like we give our clients the best experience when our photo and video services are combined!
I first met Sonya back in 2013 when I photographed her older sister’s wedding. Flash forward 4 years later and she emailed me about photographing her own wedding! I loved working with their family so of course I was excited when she contacted me.

I spent a BEAUTIFUL spring day at the Washington DC Temple with Emily, Cristian and all of their closest family and friends. The temple was very busy on this day with weddings. We quickly did all of their family portraits near the front temple doors to allow extra time for Emily and Crisitian’s couple’s portraits. They will traveled one hour to Frederick, MD for their same day wedding reception. They had an intimate and small DIY reception at the The Tea Room at Gambrill State Park.
